The brand and creative team lead on the delivery of creative outputs, support the organisation with their marketing content plans in terms of execution, and act as the organisational brand guardian, educating and upskilling colleagues to live and breathe the brand in all they do. You will be joining a small inhouse team that also has professional relationships with a variety of external suppliers in design, film and copywriting.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is confident, ambitious and creative - breathing big ideas and a conceptual thinker with a strategic mindset. Your role will involve in-person collaboration and ideation workshops when requests are made where the requestor knows what they want to achieve but not sure how. You will work within Jisc’s inhouse creative team that oversee all production requests from the business.

You will also work with many teams across Jisc, collaborating with colleagues to capture their need and create on-brand, excellent, diverse outputs. Good people and relationship building skills are a must along with the ability to problem solve will be crucial. You will need to be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva and confident using and creating PowerPoint presentations, laying out PDF reports, illustrations and data visualisation (that can also be passed on to animators) SharePoint and email headers.

Key skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Express.
  • Either a graphic design / illustration / similar qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with creatives and or creative agencies.
  • Experience of delivering graphic design work from a brief with a deadline.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects.
  • Portfolio evidence of excellent design work demonstrating creative skills.
