Job description
The Graduate Process Engineer will undertake specific tasks on project teams using their education, creativity, and expertise to resolve engineering problems and tasks as they are assigned. This developmental position enables the Graduate Process Engineer to learn to apply theoretical knowledge to practical applications.
A pool of knowledge and experience from all the IPS teams across the world will be available to our graduates and, consequently, more experienced staff will always be available when a graduate engineer needs support.
As a member of our team, you'll collaborate within a diverse and inclusive group of Designers, Architects, and Engineers. In this transformative two-year programme, you'll work on developing design concepts for Feasibility, Concept, Basic Design, Site Master Planning Studies, and Detailed Design information.
Your focus will be on the technical aspects of projects, with a particular emphasis on those related to the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry from Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacture to Fill Finish facilities.

What you'll do
- Collaborate directly with our prestigious clients, global brand leaders in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
- Work alongside a dedicated group of industry professionals who are passionate about delivering cutting-edge facilities.
- Attend job and construction meetings in-office and onsite.
- Provide support during the purchasing phase of projects by compiling technical bid analysis for process equipment packages.
- Support the IPS CAD and BIM teams with the development of 2D and 3D engineering packages.
- Prepare process equipment specifications, calculations, datasheets, and schedules.
- Prepare equipment layouts.
- Apply industry standards and guidelines to equipment and pipework design to ensure pharmaceutical safety and quality compliance.
- Work with the supply chain to obtain vendor compliance and cost estimates.

About you
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related discipline.
Preferred qualifications
- A commitment to attaining further professional development within the next three years, with support provided by the company.
- Proficiency in the MicrosoG Office suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on fostering a communicative and inclusive workplace.
- Proven skills in computer operation for engineering design programs.
