Your team

The Global Consultant Database team supports new business and client service efforts of our Distribution groups that include services for institutional and retail clients and prospects.  The Team supports the business efforts by maintaining investment databases, owning critical data sets used to answer RFPs, DDQs and client inquires, and by building process efficiencies to deliver high quality services to key partners, clients and prospects.  Additionally, the team maintains third party and consultant databases and works on ad hoc projects in support of the firm’s overall sales, client service and marketing efforts.

What we are we looking for

  • Support the database systems team to streamline the product data collection process, help run and build automation processes for loading information to the external consultant databases and help to build quality controls for internal database auditing
  • Interface between data suppliers and product data partners to detail new/update data sources, establish regular timelines for collection, and run standardise output formats to support multi-functional marketing needs
  • Create automated customised product outputs using VBA and standardised sourcing to meet the data needs of reoccurring DDQs and standardised RFPs
  • Assist the profile management team with new profile loads in the consultant databases by ensuring that loading standards are met and that the sourcing is established for monthly and quarterly ongoing automated data collection
  • Correlate product data with consultant database updates and data structure changes to ensure standard requirements are met for new profiles for current quarter end data points, as well as, minimal history required to meet established global consultant fill rates by at minimal of 80%
  • Assist the team in moving from manual collections to automated sources to lessen errors and improve timeliness of data reporting and production for multi-functional team use
  • Identify operational and data issues to lead team projects that drive root cause analysis to identify problems and reach data error resolution
  • Support sales efforts by running responses for historical product data requests for new opportunities by crafting consolidated data outputs into one file for efficient consumption
  • Collaborate with consulting servicing team to share quantitative data, when requested
  • Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles

 

What you can bring:

  • Experience with SQL Server and MS Excel automation using Visual Basic for applications and macros is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools a plus, Power BI and Tableau
  • Ability to investigate and manipulate large amounts of data from various sources
  • Understanding of investment related data (e.g. holdings based characteristics, GIPS composites/performance requirements, etc)
  • Good understanding of data management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related major 
  • Analytical and technical acumen in investment management data and reporting
  • An effective problem solver that seeks excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation
