The opportunity
Our UK Creative team is expanding, and we are looking for a junior designer to join our truly multi-disciplinary team of practitioners. Together we conceive, create and deliver the highest quality communication programmes, advertising campaigns, social media content plans, and product marketing for our clients.
The role sits at the heart of our creative team and you’ll be given every opportunity to become a future creative leader in our industry – health and wellbeing.
Working as part of a highly collaborative creative team, the junior designer will use a combination of creative and technical skills. With a keenness to learn, they’ll look to establish themselves as a fresh creative voice within the business, as well as building the softer skills essential to agency life.
Position within the agency
The junior designer will work alongside a team of thirty other creatives covering the full range of creative disciplines. They’ll receive mentoring and ongoing support from the senior members of the team.
Working across the entire spectrum of our clients, they’ll help unlock the creative potential in every brief. They will have access to the whole range of supporting services such as Business Development and Marketing, Integration and Operations, HR and Finance.
The postholder will report directly to one of our senior designers.
What you’ll bring
- You’ll contribute to the highest possible standard of creative execution, across all creative outputs. You’ll collaborate with members of the creative team and wider business in conceiving creative solutions, concepts and outputs that are true to the strategic goals and expectations of our clients and other stakeholders.
- A keenness to learn, and an open mind.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and support a workflow that allows working files to be easily picked up by others.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Effective organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to interact well with a variety of people at different levels.
- Ability to work with the senior members of the creative team and proactively determine ways to innovate and develop our creative offer, in response to existing and future client needs.
- Receptive demeanour.
- A good knowledge of graphic design, typography, and layout capabilities and a strong eye for detail and consistency is essential.
- Be a skilled and experienced user of creative industry standard software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- A design degree or equivalent qualification in Creative Media, Graphic Design or similar. We will also accept candidates with BTEC Diplomas, Foundation Degrees and Vocational Qualifications.
