Hypebeast is looking for a Social Content Intern to join our team in London for a 6-month internship. This position requires in-person work at our central London office during the week.

We’re looking for an aspiring storyteller who is passionate about the topics Hypebeast covers and is excited about an opportunity to create content around this. This person will understand how social media works and what content resonates with a Gen-Z audience, with the ability to actually make this content. They will have their ear to the ground and be as familiar with up and coming brands as they are with bigger ones. They are creative, collaborative and authentically connected to culture. This person will support the Hypebeast UK team in content creation, learning how a media title works, how to conduct interviews, and how to work as part of a global editorial team along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and posting of daily content on social platforms.
  • Edit short form video clips to create publishable content, e.g. Instagram Reels.
  • Process images for Instagram, e.g. cropping, resizing, putting into templates.
  • Support with community engagement in the comments and DMs.
  • Source news stories and brainstorm ideas and concepts with the team.
  • Keep the cultural calendar updated and help to identify editorial opportunities in advance.
  • Support on weekly performance reporting on Hypebeast UK Instagram.
  • Support on interviews and photoshoots as needed.

Requirements

  • Able to edit photo/video to a high standard on Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proactive team player but able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Hypebeast content at a local and international level.
  • Interest in social media and current trends.
  • Must speak meme.
