Key responsibilities

The UK and Nordics Service Solution Specialist Interns will work within the Service Solution team, reporting into the UK and Nordics Service Solutions Manager.

They will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals who are responsible for all Service Solution engineering activities.  These activities include architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective, sustainable solutions, to meet customer business requirements.

To be successful they will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; be self-motivated; Flexibility on working locations and timelines.

Their application should be strongly supported by hand-on experience with key Honeywell products detailed below.

  • Working alongside those responsible for the solution configuration, implementation, commissioning, and ongoing support/maintenance and upgrading all Honeywell Operational Technology (OT) Software such as:
    • EBI
    • DVM
    • HEM
  • Any Connected Offerings eg.: Forge and CLSS
  • Advanced OT domain & application knowledge
  • Connected offering Subject Mater Expert
  • Programming HVAC controllers
  • Integration Protocols
  • Reviewing scope for opportunities and proposals and deliver statements on technical compliance.
  • They should posses the ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions to internal and external customers, e.g. accurately reviewing customer specs, and with the ability to identify opportunities, risks, and resources required to achieve results within the proposal cycle.
  • Required to multi-task on several Solution deliveries and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to provide client and internal orientation on delivered solutions.
  • Provide lessons learnt to the team and ensure implementation.

Key requirements

  • Excellent PC skills including strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Knowledge
  • Communicate clearly with an understanding of the audience and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the solution
  • Grad or currently studier seeking a 12month sandwich placement from an engineering (or similar) background
  • Full & valid driving license for use within the UK with access to a car for working hours
  • Some experience in a customer facing role
