At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
The role
To support Honda Motor Europe UKs (HME-UK) purpose to be a trusted business, powered by our passion to excel through continuous change. As part of the wider aftersales business, the role holder will support the strategic direction to 700+ investor sites across the UK for our Automotive, Motorcycles and Power Products division.
Reporting to the Parts Business Development Section Manager, this position supports the UK aftersales parts operations with improving investor’s profitability through business best practice processes and retention programmes.
We have a placement opportunity within our UK aftersales business offering you industry experience working within the European Head Office of a global brand. The experience

Main responsibilities
- Learn about all three product areas – Automobile, Motorcycles & Power Products.
- Develop and implement strategies that will improve our customer’s aftersales experience.
- Research and analyse pricing data and information then present your findings and recommendations for improvements.
- Generate new ideas to solve problems, implement them at test stage through to roll out.
- Project support and leading programme implementation, including preparing business case proposals, creating project documents and reports, preparing progress reports and creating action plans.
- Gaining a wider understanding of price setting, turnover and profitability.
- Collaborating with multiple teams across the business, issuing data, reporting and improving the performance in the division through project work.
- Coding invoices and raising POs for major suppliers.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Required
- Proficient in MS Office packages to include PowerPoint and Excel.
- Capable of balancing tasks to achieve set deadlines.
- Proactive approach to motivate yourself to deliver ideas and improvements that make a difference to Honda.
- Willingness to work in a team and collaborate on projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised with ability to multi-task different priorities effectively.
Desirable
- Experience in data visualisation.
- Understanding of Accountancy and Finance principles.
- Ability and willingness to travel in UK.
