At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

The role

The Company Vehicle Operations (CVO) Department in Honda Motor Europe UK is responsible for providing vehicles to associates and their families across all business entities through our competitive schemes. CVO is responsible from ordering associates’ vehicles to delivering as well as all the on fleet activities.

You will be supporting the department by using various systems we have in place to assist with the key activities in delivering a vehicle to an associate. Your role will enable you to communicate to all associates who utilise our scheme across all the business entities and to liaise with our logistics department within Automobile on a day to day basis.

You will gain experience in

  • Operational support and involvement in key projects including a new system upgrade.
  • Implementing improvements in current processes to achieve efficiency and deliver customer (associate) experience.
  • Opportunity to present and communicate CVO data reporting, proposals and recommendations to stakeholders of all levels.

Main responsibilities

  • Support the CVO Logistics Coordinator with logistical planning liaising with internal and external suppliers to ensure an efficient process – “Just-In-Time” philosophy.
  • Support with the production of sales forecast working in conjunction with the Supply Planning department to achieve monthly registration targets.
  • Project work: Support with finalising and reviewing the handover process with our external partner at Magnum House.
  • Project work: Support with testing and reviewing the Fleetwave (CVO System) system upgrade in 102Ki.
  • Working in conjunction with the CVO Logistics Coordinator and the Customer Service Specialists, support with daily Rugby Football Unition (RFU) administration and develop a working relationship with the RFU team.
  • Support the Customer Service Coordinator on daily associate queries and vehicle repairs.
  • Produce vehicle availability lists utilising our current system to support with car ordering for associates.
  • Assist in the management of the pool car fleet, issuing new cars and ensuring cars are returned in the correct manner.
  • Support the Customer Service Coordinator with on fleet enquiries and administration such as travel packs, updating Fleetwave with all driver profile information where required.

Qualifications skills and experience

  • Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a business-related degree.
  • Organised with ability to multi-task different priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willing to work in a team and with colleagues from other cultures.
  • Interest in data analysis.

Desirable

  • Proficient in MS Office packages to include PowerPoint and Excel, although training given.
  • Experience working in a team.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience working in a customer focused role.
