We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate, eager to begin their career in Environmental Consultancy to join Hollis.

Introducing an amazing opportunity for a Graduate Environmental Consultant. Join our well-established, expert teams and assist them in all aspects of environmental consulting. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the ongoing success and evolution of Hollis.

We’ll also enrol you onto our IEMA programme from the jump and start working towards professional membership.

Your day to day

  • Write Phase 1 reports (relating to TDD instructions) and carry out site inspections.
  • Opportunity to supervise UK wide site investigation work across a variety of projects.
  • Assist with the design of scopes of work for environmental projects.
  • Assist with the delivery of routine projects, with scope to work on more complex projects (with guidance).
  • Assist with drafting the key client communications and fee proposals.
  • Assist on site work.
  • Manage your own time and workload.
  • Communicate effectively with clients (written and verbal).
  • Field queries from internal colleagues and provide robust advice.
  • Complete accurate technical research and data gathering tasks.
  • Draft high quality reports.
  • Support business development and profile raising.
  • Pro-actively learn from senior colleagues.
  • Maintain awareness of current and evolving challenges in the sector.
  • Independence around your workload and continuous professional learning.
  • Respect company values and culture.

Skills and experience

  • Degree or MSc in a related subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Geography).
  • Work experience in a commercial property environment is ideal, but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Clean driving licence (desired but not essential).
