Our two year graduate programme is focused on honing in on the skills and knowledge that graduates gained throughout their education, moulding them into experienced Planner. The Graduate Project Planner will be involved in developing and maintaining schedules, and project programmes. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Project Planners on all planning functions and forecasting for company operations.

Our Planning department has continuous works in the following areas and will give the successful candidate experience and training in the below:

The role

  • Initial build of project programmes at contract award stage.
  • Regular Liaison with client, project team, sub-contractors, and suppliers to prepare, monitor, co-ordinate and maintain detailed schedules encompassing design, procurement, constructions and commissioning.
  • Tracking of commercial milestones throughout project.
  • Provide planning and resource scheduling support for Project Managers and Operations Team.
  • Maintain work schedule based on work requests/training requests & holiday approvals.
  • Ensure Project Schedules are fully monitored and updated during the entire project life cycle (Planning through to execution).
  • Take lead in coordinating and populating weekly schedules 4 weeks in advance.
  • Update programme registers with upcoming tenders & updates of live projects.
  • Chair twice-weekly teams meetings with PMs to preview upcoming work schedule.
  • Create manning plans/histograms based on programme where required by the client.

Requirements skills & qualification

  • Relevant 3rd level Qualification.
  • May be required to visit/support other Project locations.
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, MS Project, Primavera, Visio, Powerpoint.
  • Flexibility/Adaptability.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Team player who demonstrates a high level of initiative.
