The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of systems architecture to meet the needs of the business now and in the future. You will have a clear, objective approach to technical decision-making, and will be able to demonstrate strong technical judgement, as well as a clear understanding of the needs of the business units which make up the Group.

Tasks in detail

  • Embed Enterprise Architecture practices into a greenfield environment.
  • Create and manage the enterprise technology roadmap and architecture for Hexagon MI systems
  • Develop architecture views to describe all aspects of our organisation including Business Applications, Data and Infrastructure
  • Manage and develop the architecture for a broad scope of projects, working closely with application development and support teams.
  • Support handover from design to delivery and into test, supporting by resolving queries across the whole programme lifecycle.
  • Understand business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system designs
  • Design and lead the adoption of Enterprise Architecture and Application Portfolio Management across the range of business applications and technologies.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience operating as an Enterprise or Lead Architect in large enterprise environments
  • Extensive experience in the design and delivery of systems preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technology foundations; good working knowledge and practical experience of platform, integration, data and security technology patterns and concerns.
  • Capable of working within complex architectural landscapes, defining transition and target architectures
  • The ability to concisely communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience, relating them to business value
  • You must have experience using modern Enterprise Architecture toolsets. Our chosen EA tool is Ardoq and whilst experience of this particular tool is advantageous it is not essential.
