The Sales Support Intern will play a crucial role for the Operational Services team. They will have their finger on the pulse of the business and be able to help the sales team be completely effective, It’s a great opportunity for someone wanting a fast start in the tech industry. You will learn every component of Operational Services and have the opportunity to lead team meetings.
What you'll do
- Assisting the sales team on managing their sales opportunities - This can include your involvement in the order booking process, aiding your sales team on individual accounts and managing account lists
- Forecasting and reporting - The role will involve building and executing against account plans, providing regular value-based reporting and you will be responsible for scheduling and running account review meetings
- Project work - There will be opportunities within the role for the individual to be involved with a series of small and large scale tasks involving a variety of HPE departments.
What you'll need
- Potential interns must be in their 2nd year of a four-year degree (ideally business orientated) which requires (or has an option for) 3rd year to be a one year's industrial placement, and are expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 grade
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and be available to commence the placement at the beginning of July 2025 for 13 months.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Experience in database management would be beneficial.
- No primary experience in sales is necessary, however you must have solid record of past work experience and/or participation in meaningful extra-curricular activities.
- High level communication skills are essential, both verbally and written
- Must be willing, adaptable and positive – this fast paced environment requires individuals who are enthusiastic even in challenging situations
- Being committed to the role and achieving the best of your ability
- Be proficient in using excel
- Have the ability to work under time constraints
- Professionalism when working closely with experienced colleagues
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Additional support and training will be given whenever needed to help develop the individual’s personal skills
