We are excited to offer a position in our Graduate Training Programme 2025 for a Graduate Grants Trainee.  This is a three-year fixed-term contract which provides the opportunity to pursue the ACCA qualification. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual eager to study for a professional qualification and build a rewarding career in a leading professional practice.

You will work well under pressure and be strong at communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Main responsibilities include

Proving support to the Grants Team:

  • Assist with work on grant audits. 
  • Support grant audit team on administration tasks – preparing files and collecting grant audit documents from clients. Establish sample sizes, where appropriate, and select samples from data supplied from clients. 
  • Liaise with clients to collect documentary evidence on the sample of costs for review 
  • Conduct fieldwork onsite at client premises or remotely, as required. 
  • Assist on queries on grant claims and refer on to grant manager, keeping them up to date on progress. 
  • Action all review points to ensure all are cleared. 
  • Attend relevant training courses, as required. 

What we are looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A good level of education and academic ability (Minimum 2:1, any subject, Maths and English Highers at A/B)
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft packages
  • A demonstrable interest in business and financial issues
  • A well-developed sense of client service
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Works well under pressure and rises to a challenge
