Join our Medical Affairs Team in Weybridge for a 12 month industrial placement, starting in July 2025.

Are you a student who is in their 2nd year at University looking to kick start your career in Medical Affairs?  You will have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from an experienced team who will support you to reach your full potential. 

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting the development and creation of product claims support at the centre of the oral health industry, witnessing the creation of oral healthcare products first-hand. 
  • Working both individually and as part of a cross functional team (inc marketing, regulatory, legal, R&D) to provide scientific and technical input to help develop consumer relevant marketing material, and educational/scientific programmes that are supported by robust scientific data across dentine sensitivity and acid erosion, gum health and Denture appliance care.    
  •  Working closely with all members of the Medical and Scientific Affairs team to ensure that the advice provided represents the depth of experience and expertise within Medical and Scientific Affairs. 
  • Coordinating and conducting detailed literature reviews for specific knowledge summaries, claims, and mode of action of ingredients.  
  • Gain experience of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Excellence (for example, understanding of the benefits and risks of the products and their appropriate use for the benefit of patients and consumers).  
  • Experience Dental Conferences with expert talks and discussions. 
  • Build communication and other invaluable soft skills using different forms of communications to various experts and senior staff. 

Education requirements

Currently studying and Undergraduate Degree in: Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Foods, Cosmetics, Medical Sciences or related subjects. 

If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Application process 

The application process has a total of up to 4 stages: 

  • Application – information will be required regarding your education and Right to Work. 
  • Online Assessment – you will be asked to complete a behaviour based online assessment/interview. 
  • Telephone Screening – if selected you will be contacted by an Early Talent Partner to discuss your application and motivation for joining Haleon. 
  • Interview – if selected you will be invited to attend a virtual interview; The interview will consist of a competency-based interview and may include a case study/technical exercise. 
  • Offer – candidates will receive an outcome within 2 weeks following interview. 

Interviews will be held in November/December 2024
