Join our Haleon Global Engineering team based in London, for a 12-month industrial placement, starting in July 2025.

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience and insights into process and mechanical engineering systems, engineering risk management, and cutting-edge technology?

As an industrial placement student in our Global Engineering team, you’ll contribute to the development of risk management practices and analyse project performance, working alongside experts who are passionate about innovation and sustainability.

Throughout your placement, you’ll have the opportunity to

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the business on impactful projects.
  • Support the implementation of our risk management approach to address key Process and Mechanical Engineering challenges.
  • Contribute to our ongoing efforts to integrate technology into managing engineering risks more efficiently.
  • Analyse performance data to identify strengths and areas for improvement, helping to shape proposals that enhance engineering processes.
  • Review and refine our Engineering guidance, ensuring it’s fit for purpose and aligned with the needs of a dynamic Consumer Healthcare company.
  • Play a part in achieving our Sustainability Targets and Goals, supporting initiatives that contribute to a greener future.
  • Develop a broad understanding of engineering systems, including electrical, automation, energy management, and more.

Education requirements

  • We welcome applications from students studying degrees in any of the engineering disciplines.
  • If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree, you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. 
  • Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Role start date: July 2025

Application process

The application process has a total of up to 4 stages:

  • Application: You will need to provide information about your education and Right to Work status.
  • Online Assessment: You will complete an online assessment that includes an interview.
  • Recruiter Screening: If selected, an Early Talent Partner will contact you to discuss your application and motivation for joining Haleon.
  • Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited to a virtual interview, which will include a competency-based interview and a case study or technical exercise.
  • Offer: Candidates will be notified of the outcome within two weeks of the interview
