Join our Haleon Environment Health & Safety team based in London for a 12-month industrial placement, starting in July 2025.

Are you a second / third year university student looking to kick-start your career in Environment Health, and Safety (EHS)? This is your opportunity to work directly with, and learn from, an experienced team who will support your development and help you reach your full potential.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience and contribute to important EHS global projects, including:

  • Office ergonomics programme: Contribute to our company-wide office ergonomics program, spanning across 46 commercial markets, 26 manufacturing, and research & development sites.
  • EHS awards management: Take the lead as project manager for our annual EHS Awards process, coordinating and communicating with teams around the world.  
  • Digital EHS tools & data analysis: Provide technical support for our EHS One platform and help create Power BI dashboards to turn data into meaningful insights for stakeholders.
  • Sustainability data verification: Assist in verifying sustainability performance data from our manufacturing sites to support our public environmental commitments.
  • Strategic project management: Lead various strategic initiatives by working with stakeholders to develop plans, track progress, and ensure timely updates.

This role offers a unique chance to work with global teams, apply your technical skills, and make a tangible difference in environmental sustainability and workplace safety.

Education requirements

  • We welcome applicants from all degree disciplines, however degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics are particularly advantageous for this placement.
  • If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree, you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. 
  • Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Application process

  • Application: You will need to provide information about your education and Right to Work status.
  • Online Assessment: You will complete an online assessment that includes an interview.
  • Recruiter Screening: If selected, an Early Talent Partner will contact you to discuss your application and motivation for joining Haleon.
  • Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited to a virtual interview, which will include a competency-based interview and may involve a case study or technical exercise.
  • Offer: Candidates will be notified of the outcome within two weeks of the interview
