The Market Development (MD) function within School & Industry Engagement is a key part of the schools and candidate facing arm of GMAC and plays a critical role in delivering against the organization’s revenue and non-revenue objectives.
The Marketing Co-ordinator Europe role makes part of the three-person Europe marketing team and will work closely with Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager to deliver the marketing and communications plan for the Europe region, across GMAC’s products and services for candidates pursuing graduate management education. The team is responsible for achieving the awareness, engagement, preference and decision goals for the region. The role will collaborate with regional peers in Market Development (MD) and with relevant colleagues including team members in School and Industry Engagement and partner departments – Global Product Marketing and digital marketing, Assessments, Legal, and Technology. All contribute to the development and implementation of the Council’s market development, marketing, and communications efforts worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Nurture Europe candidate leads
Email marketing: Support with the development of email marketing campaigns to nurture Europe leads through to GMAT exam registration. This will involve designing email templates, writing engaging copy, and collaborating with the Operations team to schedule.
Candidate webinar lead: Be the lead for candidate webinars hosted by the GMAC Europe Marketing team.
- Prepare and deliver 1-2 monthly webinars (once comfortable and knowledgeable with the product – GMAT Exam)
- Lead effective promotion via owned channels, email and social media.
- Expand programme with leading subject experts using our partner network.
Be proficient with a CRM system (preferably HubSpot) to support effective campaign execution and lead nurture (landing pages, workflows and tracking).
Content Marketing
Support with content creation including blogs, videos, email and social media content to position business school as an attractive pathway for GMAC’s target audience (under-graduates seeking a Business Masters and those seeking an MBA (approx. 25-30 year olds).
Curate creative and engaging copy and visual assets using Canva in line with GMAC brand guidelines for the GMAT exam and more generally, the value of graduate management education.
Social media management
Collaborate with the global marketing team and Europe’s marketing agency to create and manage social media posts in-line with Europe team’s annual campaign schedule.
Lead gen campaigns with partners
Support Europe’s lead gen campaigns by liaising with Europe’s digital media partners to ensure timely campaign content delivery. Excellent communication skills necessary.
Data analysis and Internal performance reporting
Responsible for monthly performance reporting using Excel and PowerBI to collate and analyse data for Regional Market Development teams, presenting reports in team meetings, to make business recommendations.
Monitor campaign performance on Hubspot, making suggestions to optimise accordingly.
Ability to analyse different data sources including PowerBI, Excel and translate into business updates.
Market insights
Contribute to the team’s desk research to track and analyse candidate behaviours and trends to inform marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new ideas to constantly evolve and improve marketing strategy.
Field Marketing
- Participate in two to three candidate recruitment events per year in key European cities. Approx 10 days business travel per year. Represent GMAC, effectively communicating the benefits of GMAC products and services to prospective business school students via presentations and one-to-one meetings during fairs.
- Contribute as a member of the broad MD team to help enhance and promote all aspects of the work in the region. This includes achievement towards all regional objectives, communication of regional marketing initiatives, organization of professional development events in the region, and any other duties assigned by the Senior Marketing Manager, Europe.
- Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.
Minimum experience and skills requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
- 2 years’ experience in marketing / product marketing.
- Experience developing marketing and communication campaigns.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, working across various channels within the marketing mix.
- Experience working with GA4, tracking and analytics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Be pro-active and able to act on initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills, and cross-cultural sensitivity.
