We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join our Gleeds Tax team based in London and Manchester to start in September 2023.
The Gleeds Tax team provides taxation allowances and Insurance advisory services to a wide range of client sectors, including: Commercial Offices, Build to Rent, Retail, Rail, Hotel & Leisure, Logistics and Distribution, Utilities, Telecoms, Defence & Healthcare.
Within the Spring Budget 2023, the Chancellor has introduced new enhanced taxation allowance incentives to boost UK investment over the next three years. These incentives will provide further opportunities for the Gleeds Tax team for which additional support is required.
About this opportunity
The Gleeds Tax team provides advisory services to international and national clients, including large corporate's, investment funds and high net worth individuals. They have worked, and continue to work, on some of the UK’s iconic, flagship projects.
Their focus is on the optimisation of tax relief and credits, which assists clients to retain profit within their organisation for further capital reinvestment, as well as enhance their investment and property yields. The team provides tax planning and financial forecasts to support their clients with project feasibility.
They also develop bespoke templates and digital solutions to document, analyse and track their clients’ portfolio and programme expenditure.
In this role you will support the Gleeds Tax team in delivering taxation allowances and insurance services. The role includes surveying commercial and residential properties around the UK and some EU countries. The role also includes structured training towards being a chartered surveyor with the RICS. You will be assigned a supervisor and counsellor towards your Assessment of Professional Competence.
About you
Who we are looking for:
- You will have a degree within Quantity Surveying ideally RICS accredited by August 2023. Other RICS accredited degrees or other real estate degrees will also be considered.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
- Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
- Sound problem solving, negotiating, financial management and numeracy skills.
- Good ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
