The Ware Site
GSK's Ware Global Supply Chain (GSC) manufacturing and supply site plays a unique role in our network as the sole site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new Respiratory or Oral Solid Dose medicines. By leveraging modern equipment, digital processes, efficient workflows, and technology, we deliver life-changing and life-saving products for patients in over 100 countries. With around 1,200 employees, including a large community of early talent, the site provides a strong network of expertise to mentor and support graduates, as well as offering a wide range of social opportunities.
The site boasts convenient access to London and Cambridge via rail links, as well as the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. It features a social club located by the river, a gym offering various exercise classes, and a multitude of events and clubs catering to diverse interests. What will you do?
This Ware-based GSK Graduate Scheme offers a 2-year programme located at GSK’s Ware GSC Manufacturing Site throughout its duration.
During this programme, you will acquire hands-on experience across key site workstreams, taking on significant responsibilities. Depending on your specialist area and rotations, you could:
- Learn about the innovative technologies used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and gain insight into the entire production process
- Understand the risk and compliance aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Discover how manufacturing, quality, technical services, and supply chain functions work together
- Implement lean six sigma techniques to enhance the efficiency of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processes
- Optimize business activities by analyzing data and ensuring compliance with standards
- Identify root causes of technical problems and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Support the implementation of GSC's strategic priorities, including sustainability projects
- Drive process improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency through data analysis and key performance indicator trending, making a tangible impact
Depending on your background and interests, you could be based in one of our Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Technical Services or Engineering teams. What are we looking for?

Education required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or Chemical Engineering; Chemistry or Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Science. Graduation by August 2025.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Expected Start date: September 2025
