What your role is?
We are looking for enthusiastic students to join our successful, well established graduate program at General Mills from July 2025 for a 12 month period.
You will have real responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to value-add projects, learning from the very best minds in the industry and make an impact on some of the world biggest brands. As well as the valuable work experience you will gain, you will be part of a group of interns working and learning together.
As a Supply Chain Graduate, you will support our growth and the agility required in our Supply Chain Team, working cross-functionally with General Mills Marketing and Sales functions, and our Customers within one of this areas.
Customer collaboration
- Build a mid-term forecast in collaboration with the Customer, Demand and Sales teams
- Report shortages, delivery and daily issues on service to customers
- Review customer ordering and ensure conformance to terms of Supply
- Establish and build strong and influential relationships with your customers supply chain at the relevant level
- Support the collaborative End to End agenda with the Customer
Demand planning
- Generate Demand insights in monthly S&OP cycle
- Partner with SRM, Commercial finance, Marketing & Supply planning teams to drive brand growth, secure service and reduce costs
- Display Strategic thinking and drive a rolling cross-functional long-range forecast (0-24 months) & NPD forecast. Support the Budget creation
- Support implementation of demand enhancing tools & best practices
Supply planning
- Ensure timely and cost effective of replenishment of stock based on Demand insights and regular catch-ups with our Logistics and Factory teams
- Inventory management - Manage the stock policy & shelf life to ensure service and reduce product waste
- Minimise shortage risks and communicate risks to Sales and Customer Collaboration
- Continuous development of key relationships with manufacturing plants & External Supply Chain partners
Import planning
- Manage inbound transportation and coordinate with hauliers and 3PL’s to manage inbound booking procedures
- Ensure seamless flow of documentation, clearance & goods on all Non EU shipments
- KPI tracking & contract management on our Non EU imports
- Short & long term delivery date accuracy with supply planning team collaboration
- Support Global Trade team in auditing accuracy of declarations through monthly audits
- Support the communication of shipment delays and escalations as appropriate
- Ensure record keeping of import documentation adherence and audit reporting
- Stewardship of operational manual that details customs requirements for UK imports

What you will bring to the team
- Achieved/completing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or closely related subject
- Prior internship/work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
- Strong learning agility and desire to work at pace
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and a strong commercial awareness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint desired but not essential
