We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing principles and be adept at communicating effectively across various channels. This role requires excellent organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to lead projects from conception to execution. The Marketing Executive will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies that enhance our brand presence and drive market engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with marketing plans, advertising and direct marketing campaigns, and contribute ideas for marketing campaigns
- Manage the print media buying, liaise with titles and brief advertising creative. Work with in-house creative to design marketing materials such as advertising, literature and POS
- Liaise with marketing suppliers including printers
- Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity
- Oversee and manage the marketing budget.
- Assist the Social Media Manager with content creation and responding to messages. Access Meta Business Suite, Later and social channels – TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and You Tube
- Create marketing and promotional copy, write and proof read marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
- Help to organise promotional activities, presentations and events – The Rutland Show, Dining with Santa, Loyalty Club events, gardening workshops and Cirquoise
- Liaising with suppliers and external agencies
- PR activities – managing the media list, creating press releases, editorial features and charitable giving
- Design and print seasonal POS backdrops using Adobe InDesign
- Access WordPress for online messaging updates – opening times, menus, job advertising etc
- Buying external printed materials, printer supplies, POS, marketing materials, gift cards, carriers and envelopes, stationery and branded materials.
- Manage projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Utilise Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance communication and organisational efficiency.
- Prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong marketing skills gained in a similar retail role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated project management and analytical skills
- Effective time management and organisational abilities
- Fluent in English, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively
