The role
As a Trainee Workshop Technician, you will train towards being able to carry out routine preventative maintenance, repair, and preparation of various types of survey sensors, data acquisition and GNSS systems of inspection and work class ROVs, survey sensors, and subsea tooling. You will learn how all testing of equipment, operations, and processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will learn how to maintain documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation. Ensure all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company Integrated Management System (IMS) and project-specific documentation. You will learn how to maintain documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation. You will adhere to all IMS, HSE & Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, work instructions, technical instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
You will identify personal training needs, bringing them to the attention of the workshop supervisor, and take full advantage of the training opportunities provided. You will ensure all activities are carried out with the highest regard to health and safety (HSE) of all involved, and to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution. You will ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained within the Workshop and responsible/assigned areas. You will ensure safe/secure packing of equipment in preparation for shipment to mobilisations. You will maintain good working relationships with the Workshop and wider Fugro team.

Further educational qualifications in electronics or computer science would be advantageous.
