About the role
The Regulatory Risk Management team at FTI Consulting supports financial institutions, regulators, governments and enforcement agencies across the full spectrum of financial regulation. Our service offerings include regulatory and business change programmes; governance and conduct matters; risk and regulatory advice; risk management frameworks; disputes and investigations; and remediation programmes.
We work alongside our multi-disciplinary colleagues who are located in every major financial centre around the globe, enabling us to tackle any challenge our clients face. Our experts are industry and technology experts, former policy makers, regulators and economists, and forensic and communications specialists.
What you will do
As an intern in the Regulatory Risk Management team, you will gain exposure to projects and business development activities from the outset.
You will have exposure to
Project delivery: You will support the delivery team with client projects. Each project will be different, typically involving understanding and analysing issues, project management, stakeholder engagement, document reviews, client interviews, process walk-throughs, developing solutions and drafting reports.
Proposals: By researching prospective clients and supporting the proposal writing process, you will play a key role in winning new business.
Team building: You will be encouraged to network within the firm and build relationships and may support with cross-segment engagements.
You may be required to travel to support project delivery.

You will be partnered with a graduate consultant to support you throughout your internship.
What you need to succeed
Analytical thinkers: Our team is made up of problem solvers who take a pragmatic approach to a wide range of client challenges. You’ll be given the opportunity to research and provide advice on complex regulation and emerging industry best practices.
- Confident communicators: Our team engage with senior stakeholders both verbally and in written reporting and communication.
- Adaptability: You’ll have exposure to projects across our service lines, taking on varied roles at different client sites. The ability to deliver in a timely manner whilst maintaining high quality is essential.
- Commercial awareness: In order to understand the challenges faced by our clients, Interns need to stay abreast of industry developments and the changing regulatory agenda.
- Diverse perspectives: We welcome applications from a range of academic backgrounds.
Applicants must be in their penultimate year of study at any university or degree discipline.
Applicants must be available to work full-time for a total of 8 weeks throughout July and August 2025 for this internship.
