About the role

The Forensic and Litigation Consulting (FLC) practice/segment offers one of the industry’s most complete range of advisory services to clients across the world. Our service offerings include anti-money laundering compliance and investigations; bribery and corruption investigations; forensic accounting; fraud and other financial crime investigations; governance, risk and regulatory advice; due diligence, regulatory investigations and litigation support and transactional data analytics – including artificial intelligence. 

We offer these services to a diverse range of audiences; multi-national law firms, large corporates, national governments and agencies, and across the financial services space.

The FLC Marketing Placement role will support the FLC marketing team and their stakeholders in the delivery of their marketing strategy, which involves all aspects of the marketing mix. You will report to one of the FLC Senior Marketing Managers and work closely with the marketing and BD teams and Executive Assistants within FLC, as well as the broader corporate marketing and internal communications team.  You will often work directly with our client facing teams to deliver marketing activities accordingly.

You will work on a variety of tasks, events and projects including events support, CRM management, collateral development, communications, both internal and external, pitch/proposal materials and key account admin support, as well as more general marketing support duties. You will have a busy, diverse, hands-on-role and will sit within the FLC business team.  

What you'll do

  • Proactively support FLC stakeholders as well as the FLC Marketing team in planning and delivering FLC’s marketing strategy 
  • Support events management for both internal team events and for corporate entertainment
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, proposals and presentations, ensuring formatting and branding is in line with company templates and standards
  •  Help to maintain contact databases via a CRM database – Salesforce
  • Help with gathering credentials and materials to package and send to clients
  • Assist with Digital and website content development for FLC, including newsletters 
  • Assist with research, execution and targeting of social media posts and thought leadership for LinkedIn and X
  • Support FLC marketing with planning and managing campaigns and initiatives across segments and geographies 
  • Help create compelling and innovative copy options that meets various messaging needs
  • Help with the development of bespoke materials for specific audiences e.g. lawyers, financial services sector, energy sector etc.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to inform marketing strategies

What you will need to succeed

Required

  • Applicants must be completing a sandwich course at university
  • Applicants must be available for this placement year from September 2024 to August 2025
  • Applicants must be predicted a 2:1 or above final grade for their degree
  • Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time, workload and projects effectively
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbally and in writing and comfortable communicating at all levels of an organisation
  • Willingness to learn how to navigate a complex organisation and establish networks, with excellent stakeholder management skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a marketing or corporate environment, ideally professional services or B2B
  • Prior experience in events management, including online events.
  • Experience in assisting with the creation and co-ordination of collateral both digital and paper based
  • Experience with using Eloqua (Oracle email marketing) or similar packages
  • Experience with using Salesforce (CRM Sales Cloud) or similar packages
