As the Category Development Executive, you will be responsible for crafting and executing compelling strategies and propositions, utilizing category and shopper data insights to enhance the market presence and daily performance of our iconic brands.
Main responsibilities
As the Category Development Executive, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive category plans that are perfectly aligned with our business objectives. Your responsibilities will include gathering and analyzing a wide range of data sources such as Nielsen, IRI, and internal data to deliver actionable insights. You will leverage these insights to identify growth opportunities by understanding market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
You will collaborate closely with trade marketing, marketing, and sales teams to implement robust category strategies. This involves tracking category performance and continuously refining our approach based on your analysis. You will prepare and present detailed reports on category trends, sales performance, and competitive analysis to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Your role extends to fostering strong collaborative relationships with customer category development teams and key customer channels to drive category growth initiatives. This collaboration will be vital in influencing retailer decisions regarding shelf space, pricing, and promotional strategies, ensuring our products achieve maximum visibility and shopper engagement.
Additionally, you will develop and recommend merchandising strategies and product assortment plans tailored to different channels. This includes creating ranging ladders and defining the picture of success for the category. You will ensure the effective communication of these strategies to our trade marketing teams and salesforce during brand briefing sessions.
Working with the Revenue Growth Management team, you will ensure that the planning and execution of promotions and pricing strategies are well-aligned with overall category strategies to drive category growth. Your comprehensive understanding of retailer merchandising principles will be crucial in maximizing shopper visibility both on and off the shelf, ultimately influencing the brand's presence and performance in the market. Your role is not just about data analysis but also about turning that data into strategic actions that yield measurable results.

A solid understanding of data sources such as Nielsen, Kantar, or Circana is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships are also critical to your success in this role. Previous experience in Category Development and/or account management is desirable, ensuring you bring both the expertise and strategic thinking needed to drive our brand forward.
