Our Assurance teams analyse the data behind our clients’ businesses. As external auditors, they help companies and governments publish accurate financial accounts that their clients and industry regulators can rely on. When it comes to the audit process, our job is to solve big accounting and reporting challenges, voice our opinions to audit committees and do it all on time, as a team and with future improvement in mind. Using diverse technologies, we innovate better solutions that tackle these challenges and give companies confidence.

We work to make sure that businesses are protected from risks that can affect their reputation and performance. As external auditors, we help companies and governments publish accurate financial accounts others can rely on – so we can build a better working world.

What will you be doing?

  • Getting to know our clients, their businesses and how they work
  • Testing checks and balances to ensure they work how they’re supposed to
  • Analysing the data that goes into a financial statement to make sure it is true and fair
  • You’ll spend substantial periods of time travelling to other offices and client sites
  • Developing an understanding of the latest applications and technology innovations
  • Collaborating across the business, building strong relationships
  • Working towards the Chartered Accountancy professional qualification with ICAS or ICAEW

Are you eligible to apply?

This role has a start date of the 1st April 2022, therefore you must have already graduated and be ready to start work on this date.

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to have achieved an honours degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. Important: The deadline to submit your initial application for this role is the 31st December 2021. This is to give you enough time to complete the tests in early January and have the chance of taking part in one of our EY Experience Days in January to look towards receiving an offer in early February.
