About the Internship Program

  • Onboarding: first week support with our Early Careers team, introductions to Expedia Group, laptop set up, meeting your intern cohort
  • Intern Bootcamp: role-specific technical and professional skills learning to help you get set up for success
  • Social events: regular fun events for all interns to get to know each other during the program
  • Leadership Series: opportunities to directly ask questions and learn about the career journeys of our leaders during exclusive intern-only Q&A events
  • Learning Series: interactive workshops to build professional & soft skills, and to support development, including topics such as personal branding and mental wellness
  • Support: coaching and advice, provided by managers, navigators (buddies) and Early Careers
  • Project work: interns enjoy a great level of responsibility and complete incredible projects specific to their role profile based on our business needs

What You’ll Do

Do you have a passion for technology and language and want to help millions of travelers find the information they need to plan and enjoy their trips? Content Designers take customer use cases, research data requirements, and execute the assembly of data into content that helps travelers. In this role, you'll engage multiple backend systems to craft information and assemble content at scale to power Expedia Group's travel platform.

  • Develop skills in writing content for digital products, including Web and app UIs, conversational experiences, and related documentation
  • Demonstrate curiosity and develop an understanding of how the multi-disciplinary team works together to tackle user problems
  • Seek to understand user-centered research and design practices
  • Learn to communicate decision-making rationale to team members using customer, business, or competitive insights
  • Utilize project’s metrics, as well as previous test data and user feedback, when crafting or proposing new content

Who You Are

  • Must be available to commit to the full program dates: June 26th, 2023 – September 1st, 2023
  • Must be graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths, Physics) or related field (e.g., Human Computer Interaction, Design, English, Communications, Journalism, Information Systems)
  • Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance
  • Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience
  • Helpful to understand the fundamentals of these core UX design skills: UX Writing; Content Audits and Analysis; Content Mapping and Modeling; Content Planning and Sourcing; Conversational Design; Information Architecture Techniques (e.g., Taxonomy, Ontology); Facilitation; and Storytelling
  • Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners (e.g., internal, external, technical, non-technical people)
