About the Internship Program

  • Onboarding: first week support with our Early Careers team, introductions to Expedia Group, laptop set up, meeting your intern cohort
  • Intern Bootcamp: role-specific technical and professional skills learning to help you get set up for success
  • Social events: regular fun events for all interns to get to know each other during the program
  • Leadership Series: opportunities to directly ask questions and learn about the career journeys of our leaders during exclusive intern-only Q&A events
  • Learning Series: interactive workshops to build professional & soft skills, and to support development, including topics such as personal branding and mental wellness
  • Support: coaching and advice, provided by managers, navigators (buddies) and Early Careers
  • Project work: interns enjoy a great level of responsibility and complete incredible projects specific to their role profile based on our business needs

What You’ll Do

Program Managers coordinate technical projects across many teams at Expedia Group. You will handle programs of work requiring great organisation, and you will build your ability to communicate with technical and non-technical minded people to ensure that teams are on track to achieve their goals.

  • Assist on software development or machine learning projects where agile engineering methods (e.g., Extreme Programming, Feature Driven Development) are applied, and evaluate agile methodologies
  • Handle parts of an unambiguous, technical project end-to-end as needed and defined by the program lead
  • Demonstrate a willingness and flexibility to adapt your work to new processes to streamline and be more efficient
  • Help coordinate and capture input and from multiple partners and teams when developing solutions to issues
  • Learn to navigate delivery within scope of project/program
  • Support team members with the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, and messages)

  • Must be available to commit to the full program dates: June 26th, 2023 – September 1st, 2023
  • Must be graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in any Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths, or Business with Tech (for business degrees, CV should highlight tech based project/interests)
  • Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance
  • Must have no more than 2 years' professional experience
  • Helpful to have the ability to adapt work to streamline and improve processes
  • Helpful to have a highly organized working style with an interest in managing end to end projects and developing a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of audiences e.g., internal, external, technical, non-technical
  • Helpful to show a basic understanding of how to communicate decision-making rationale to team members using insights from customers, the business, or competitors
