Job description
ExodusPoint is seeking a Software Engineering intern to work in the Pricing Technology Team. This team is responsible for designing and maintaining a suite of services that deliver real-time calibrated curves, vol surfaces, pricing and risk metrics for Interest Rate and FX derivative instruments. These systems enable Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers and Middle Office to manage the Risk and PnL of the firm accurately and make quick and informed decisions in a highly competitive and fast-paced market environment.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the services to increase product coverage, either by integrating with in-house libraries or third-party solutions
- Develop, maintain, and improve the existing code repository.
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve the software to help identify production issues quickly.
- Actively participate in daily scrums, take ownership of production issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a well-reputed university
- Consistently achieved a high GPA, demonstrating academic excellence.
- Strong foundation in software development principles, including coding, debugging, and software design.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Proficient in working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ preferred.
