The Graduate Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme is open to all new and recently qualified graduates. As a successful graduate on the Graduate Programme, you will have the opportunity join the two-year SONI Graduate Development Programme.

The Programme offers structured rotations across three core areas with assignments and exposure to different aspects of our business and major projects.

Throughout the Programme, you will be provided with real responsibilities and a range of activities to ensure you grow your knowledge of our business and develop the core skills and competencies to be build a successful career in the energy industry.

Entry level roles

Successful graduates will have the opportunity to work within a designated team and get involved in collaborative work across the business. Successful candidates will have the chance to immerse themselves in a dynamic sector and get involved in areas such as technical planning, operational, information technology, commercial, project management, regulatory, analytical, financial, research and electricity market activities.

Skills & experience

To be eligible to apply, you will have or expect to achieve a minimum of 2.2 grade in your primary or secondary degree and have graduated no more than 12 months from the start date of the Programme.

You will demonstrate your motivation and interest in working in the energy sector. You will have strong analysis, judgement, problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal and team working skills to work collaboratively with colleagues. You also need strong communication skills and have an awareness of customer and stakeholder needs and expectations.
