Ecolab is seeking a Lab Technician to provide quality control / assurance support with respect to the companies activities.

What you will do

  • Routine testing to ensure bulk chemical analysis is conducted in a timely manner ensuring no waiting time for the packaging department.
  • Investigating and reporting deviations / defects minimizing delay and losses and verifying that any resulting corrective actions are implemented to prevent re-occurrences.
  • Maintaining and updating paperwork associated with laboratory activities ensuring smooth running of QC functions; i.e. specifications, methods and production documents.
  • Releasing all incoming raw materials using SAP following COA checks.
  • General tidiness of the laboratory to ensure compliance with 5S standards.
  • Maintaining lab equipment, glassware and laboratory chemical stocks ensuring no delays in testing.

What you'll need

  • Experience working in a lab environment, chemical industry experience is a plus
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Practical understanding of chemistry is a plus
  • Previous knowledge of SAP is a benefit
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements in a Laboratory area
