The challenge ahead
We are looking for a Media Planning and Lifecycle Intern to join our team in Guildford. Reporting into the EU Media team, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of how best in class media plans are developed, executed and appraised. You will also gain exposure to owned strategies, such as email and in game marketing and help curate strategies and explore testing opportunities in pursuit of engagement and acquisition goals.
You will develop a rounded understanding of the paid media planning and strategy process, as well as grow market knowledge with an ability to identify relevant opportunities available to EA and their titles.
The titles you would primarily work across would be the FC and Battlefield franchises, though you would gain exposure to other titles across the EA portfolio.
Responsibilities
Planning and Strategy
- You will help coordinate local media briefs to agency, specific to game titles, platforms and audiences
- Support the coordination, planning and activation of our European Paid Media plans with global and local partners
- Support building audience strategies and strategic budget allocation
- You will collaborate on devising strategies and test opportunities for in game and email campaigns
Activation
- You will help coordinate the activation of paid media plans surrounding game launches
- Support EU media partners in creative supply and media specs
- Assist approvals on custom content between global brand teams, local teams and Sony and media partners
- Support communication with production, copy and localization teams using tools and platforms (Airtable, Lumina)
- Help coordinate creative delivery, campaign set up and reporting with a combination of internal and external agency partners and media vendors
Operations
- You will ensure media agency commentary and line-by-line media plan is uploaded
- Raise purchase orders to aid in financial reporting record keeping
Reporting
- You will work with genre leads and central media agency to ensure reporting standards are met
- Support in the creation and presentation of summary performance reports
- Support in ad hoc data requests and reporting
- Work with lifecycle counterparts and studio teams to analyse and report on in game and email initiatives
Qualifications
- You are currently studying at a university that has a planned placement year period (not a graduate).
- You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2025
- You are located and eligible to work in Guildford, UK without the need for visa/relocation support
Desired skills
- Interest in gaming, media and advertising with an interest to work in the entertainment industry
- Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
