The Challenge Ahead

Playdemic - Acquired by EA in 2021, Playdemic is home to the top 10 grossing, BAFTA-winning mobile smash – Golf Clash. Having opened at the beginning of 2020, our award-winning, bespoke studio space offers conventional desk space as well as indulgent breakout areas, meeting rooms and alternative workspaces. The office has been ridgeline-designed to create an environment that encourages and allows our team to do their very best work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Design team with creation of concepts for new feature and system designs
  • Pitch concepts to design team, and assist in ideation for concepts provided by other designers
  • Assist in the balancing of existing gameplay content
  • Input and maintain data for new and existing Live Op content

Qualifications

  • You are currently studying at a university/vocational school that has a planned internship period (not a graduate).
  • You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2025.
  • You are located and eligible to work in Manchester, UK without the need for visa/relocation support

Desired Skills

  • An interest in mobile games, and understanding of the free to play genre
  • A strong work ethic to keep up with the pace of live game development
  • Basic understanding of game databases and tools (e.g. Excel)
  • A keen interest in game systems and balancing
  • Strong communication skills
