Join a talented and ambitious global engineering consultancy specializing in the rapid engineering and development of sustainable electrified propulsion systems and associated technologies, working directly and collaboratively with automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, aerospace and defense OEMs, Tier-1s and industry research bodies through our technical centers in North America, the U.K. and India.

Gaining one year of valuable industry experience, you’ll be working within our Development & Test function at our Engineering office in Leamington Spa. You will work immediately on consultancy projects for leading OEM and Tier 1 customers with support from highly experienced staff.

The role

In the role of Industry Placement Engineer, you will work independently or as part of a team to deliver solutions on live projects and gain valuable, relevant experience within the company.

You’ll be operating in a fast paced project environment, developing technical, commercial and customer management skills whilst collaborating with some of the most innovative people, companies, and technologies on the planet. As part of an open, collaborative and diverse team and with support, you’ll enjoy solving complex problems and contributing to a more sustainable future in an array of cutting edge industries, developing your own skills and those of the team around you.

What you will need

  • You must be studying a degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electronics or control,
    maths, physics or other related discipline
  • Ability to perform mathematical analysis and draw conclusions from the results
  • Effectively manages own time on multiple tasks
  • Good aptitude for test methods with an understanding of transmission engineering principles
  • Ability to apply knowledge to new challenges from a first principles basis
  • Able to work to key engineering processes and procedures
  • Strong problem solving skills
