Dorset Software is a leading provider of digital consultancy services. We deliver innovative software development programmes to a range of high-profile clients spanning multiple industries.

The role

As a Developer you’ll be a key member of our consulting services team working on a range of assignments using all the latest tools and technologies, and assisting our high profile clients, such as Waitrose, the NHS Resolution and WorldPay.

You’ll become proficient in a wide range of skills including cloud infrastructure, programming, application engineering and testing. Through practical hands-on experience and ongoing training, you’ll be continually expanding your knowledge and developing new skills. After 2 years, you'll gain a government accredited qualification in Software Development.

A day in the life of you

Once you’ve completed our Graduate Training Programme you’ll work either in-house or at client sites across the UK delivering exceptional service and building on your knowledge.

A snapshot of a typical day may look a little like this:

  • Reviewing a client’s system to make sure you know their product inside and out
  • Using your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to write top quality code
  • Testing the software to ensure it’s working as intended
  • Building a new Cloud data platform in AWS and Google Cloud
  • Continuing to learn about relevant tools and technologies
