Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is responsible for the development and delivery of quantitative analytics across the Deutsche Bank Group. Our Quantitative Strategists cover all aspects of model development, implementation, and execution, producing our own analytical frameworks and applications and collaborate with technology and business partners to solve business problems. GSA owns the research, development, integration and automation of all Trading & Sales pricing models and as such plays a critical role ensuring their accuracy, stability for pricing, risk management and capital calculations.

The Fixed Income & Currencies Quantitative Trading team is responsible for the Bank’s electronic liquidity provision of flow products to our global customer base. Products traded include FX spot and forwards; Interest rate swaps; government, corporate, and municipal bonds. The team is broadly responsible for the design of cutting edge proprietary quantitative models that drive our trading systems, the oversight of day-to-day risk and operations, and the optimisation of client liquidity relationships in a data-driven manner.

The role

Our interns learn about our business through on the job experience, you will gain a significant understanding of the work we do, our team culture, and will develop your quantitative skills through real life application.

You may find yourself working on one large project for the entire internship or a series of smaller projects, much as you would do as a full-time member of the team. Get ready to use your quantitative and programming skills to provide impactful research and implement real solutions.

We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills.

You must be studying a post-graduate specialist degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, economics, or finance.

Strong quantitative skills and the ability to express ideas verbally, mathematically, and through code is essential.

You will already have a record of outstanding academic achievement and you’re eager to continue learning at the same intensive rate. You’ll thrive on working in a highly collaborative environment with some of the best minds in banking.

To be eligible for the 2025 Quant Internship Programme you must be studying or have completed your MSc or PhD within 12 months of the programme starting.

The internship will start between May and June 2025 and will have a duration of 18 weeks.
