About the division:
Group Audit has over 700 staff globally, located primarily in our four hub locations: New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore as well as in 26 other countries. The hallmarks of our professional, business focused, risk-based work are independence, integrity and transparency. Essentially, Group Audit provides an independent assessment of the efficacy of the Bank’s control environment.

About the role:
Our interns are given the opportunity to learn about our information technology risk and controls from different viewpoints, giving you a career advantage. Working day-to-day on our technology audits as well as special projects, you will learn how Group Audit plays an integral role in the achievement of the Group’s strategic goals, objectives and ethical standards as set by the Management Board. You will gain experience in different technology areas including business applications, infrastructure technology and cyber security discovering our market-leading solutions first hand. The internship is an ideal way of finding out whether a career in Group Audit can help you meet your career aspirations.
Areas in which you could work:
- You will be working as part of technology audit teams covering various technology areas of the Bank, including IT Infrastructure, IT general controls including Software Development, Cyber Security, Data Management, Cloud Computing, Digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence as well as business aligned applications supporting key business divisions and infrastructure functions of the Bank (Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, Risk, Finance, etc.);
- You could also be covering overarching governance topics, including technology strategy and governance, vendor management processes as well as key IT project deliveries;
- Providing support in preparing audits, identifying and reviewing key risks and effectiveness of internal controls.
Note: Interest in coding, cyber security, data and computer science as well as emerging technologies relating to artificial intelligence, cloud and robotics is an advantage.
What we look for:
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programmes will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us.
To be eligible for the 2025 Internship Programme you must:
- Be in your penultimate year with either your final year or masters year left to complete after the internship.
- Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st August 2025 and 31st July 2026.
- Be able to start full time work in July 2026, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
- You should also be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree.
- Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.
