We are looking for an IPC Fluid Consultant Intern to join our WW Fluid team using cutting-edge solution in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of fluid dynamics, with a focus on Steady state and transient flow modeling. The position is located in our office in Warwick.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrations using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and the SIMULIA Fluids toolset
  • Development and validation of methodologies and simulation approaches
  • Assist in the development of new CFD methodologies and workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and application scope
  • Building expertise in aero, AAC, thermal applied to complex industrial projects
  • Analyze simulation results, interpret data, and provide actionable insights to support engineering decisions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and product management, to align simulation results with project objectives
  • Effective communication through realistic visualizations
  • Attending meetings to define requirements/deliverables

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on fluid mechanics and CFD
  • Solid understanding of the principles of fluid dynamics, particularly CFD
  • Theoretical knowledge of Navier-Stokes and LBM (Lattice-Boltzmann Method) CFD codes
  • Experience with CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, PowerFLOW) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and experience in geometry preparation for CFD analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize complex data
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) for scripting and automation is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
