The Product data associate is responsible for adding data into our data management systems for new products, this data is then consumed by our website and other internal downstream systems to drive operational activities. This role will enhance and sustain our current data associate capacity to ensure we meet our revenue targets and customer demands.

This position reports to the Product Data Manager and is part of the Product Data Integration team located in Cambridge and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role you will have the opportunity to

  • Perform data enrichment in Abcam’s data management systems for new & existing items.
  • Produce & maintain associated kit protocol booklets in line with guidelines and input from wider teams.
  • Carry out data updates in a timely manner with high attention to detail.
  • Carry out data quality checks. This includes screening potential new data images.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Educated to at least degree level (or equivalent) in a biological science & able to demonstrates a good understanding of the science behind our product portfolio.
  • Strong Excel skills & experience working with large datasets is essential.
  • Experience with the following applications WB, IHC and/or FC.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Data Management systems (ex Oracle) and databases such as Uniprot, NCBI and PubMed.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (ex. SQL & Python) is desirable.
