We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Laboratory Operation student to join our team specializing in Quality for our DTO Product Development business unit in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 7 th July 2025, this placement is 100% site-based.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • ISO17025 Accreditation – Updates, Maintenance, Audits, Expansion of Schedule.
  • Maintenance Quality Systems and document management.
  • Supporting the Facility Appraisals by Agencies for emission regulations
  • Incidents and Failure Investigations – 7-Step Problem Solving
  • Quality Improvement projects

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Studying towards a degree within Engineering or STEM-related subject
  • An understanding of Quality Systems used within an Engineering / Technical organization
  • An understanding of engine or powertrain and emission measurements systems would be an advantage, however training will be provided
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Packages (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). An understanding of PowerBI would be beneficial, though not essential
