We are looking for an enthusiastic Placement Student - Electronics Engineering to join our team specializing in Engineering in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential ! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1 July 2025.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Analysing electrical circuits, performing simulation work on mechatronic devices.
- Test electronic/mechatronic sub-assemblies/subcomponents.
- Apply engineering judgement to situations & provide recommendations based upon that judgement.
- Write test plans, document results & report out to different levels within the organisation.
- Plan project work and execute to plan.
- Development of sensor technology, developing this for new components.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- We are looking for a wide range of candidates studying towards an Electronic/Mechatronics/Mechanics - Software degree course.
- Excellent time management, organizational and teamwork skills.
- Ability to show initiative with a creative mindset.
- Evidence of extra-curricular or voluntary experience in line with Cummins company values may be beneficial.
