The successful applicant will assist the EIG Portfolio Management UK team based in London in respect of the Energy and Infrastructure asset portfolio, which comprises 90+ project finance and corporate transactions.

What you'll do

  • Assist the team members in the monitoring of a wide range of Energy and Infrastructure deals arranged by the EIG Origination teams and the reporting of material issues to EIG Senior Management and Credit Risk teams.
  • Energy projects are mainly comprised of renewable energy projects (offshore windfarms, energy transmission) while Infrastructure projects include environment (energy from waste), transportation (roads, airports, ports), social infrastructure (hospitals), regulated utilities (regulated water, gas distribution) as well as other hybrid infrastructure sub-sectors (e.g. motorway services areas, smart metering businesses).

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management: We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with critical thinking skills and able to demonstrate strong initiative who will work closely with the members of the EIG Portfolio Management UK team to support them in all aspect of portfolio management, including risk assessment, financial analysis as well as review of technical and legal documentation.

  • Assisting the team members with assessment and reporting of credit risks events
  • Helping providing clear and concise weekly updates to EIG Senior Management to help them in their decision-making process
  • Reviewing financial information (Cash Flow models, audited and management accounts) as well as legal and technical documentation (construction and operation reports)
  • Contributing to the preparation and submission of annual reviews ahead of the London credit committees
  • Assisting in processing amendments to the documentation / waivers requests and proposing recommendations under the guidance of the team members
  • Supporting the team in addressing ad-hoc internal reporting requirements, including KYC periodic reviews
  • Participating to the team’s meetings and suggesting ways to improve the monitoring of the portfolio
  • Maintaining all internal portfolio-related systems up to date
  • Regular communication with other internal departments such as Credit Risk (Paris and London), Middle Office, Legal, Financial Security and Compliance
