The Finance Graduate Programme
Our Finance Graduate Programme is a 3 year programme designed for graduates who are committed to building the skills and commercial understanding to partner the business to deliver value for customers, colleagues, and shareholders.
Through 1 year rotations, you will rotate through key financial functions both within our UK and Group (FTSE 20) global business in areas which could include (but not limited to): commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), bid finance support, data or supporting an SME in Tax/Risk.
You’ll be based across our head office and operational sites based primarily in Surrey, Birmingham and London. We will support your journey to becoming a qualified finance professional, offering you the opportunity to study towards your CIMA or ACCA qualifications.
You'll also benefit from a structured learning programme, with online tools, workshops, and a supportive network of fellow graduates. Plus, your dedicated mentor and Graduate Programme Manager will guide you every step of the way.
This programme is designed to develop you into the next generation of Finance Managers, leading teams and working with key stakeholders to drive results and performance. This a fantastic opportunity for aspiring finance professionals who are looking to gain hands-on experience and develop a long term career with us.

What we’re looking for
- Education: A recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (obtained within the last 2 years).
- Passion for Finance: A genuine interest in building a career in finance within the foodservice and support services industry.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively across departments and present ideas clearly.
- Ambitious and Adaptable: A proactive and flexible mindset, eager to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility: The right to work in the UK & Ireland as Compass Group UK&I is unable to provide sponsorship to candidates for graduate programmes as the Home Office’s eligibility criteria will not be met.
