Product Vigilance Placement

We have an exciting opportunity for a paid internship within our Global Vigilance Team, where you will be able to gain valuable work experience in a global FMCG company.

The opportunity

We are seeking an intern to join our Global Vigilance, based in Folkestone, Kent on a 12-month contract starting in Summer 2025.

As a Product Vigilance Intern, you will have exposure to and gain experience in a wide range of activities throughout the placement and utilize skills in data analysis, root cause investigation, report creation and analytical thinking.

Your main responsibilities will focus on the post-market requirements and activities of different product classifications such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Cosmetics & Food Supplements. Duties will include some of the following:

  • Supporting the post-market and vigilance processes in the review of safety & performance related complaints for investigation, escalation and reportability to competent authorities.
  • Documenting investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analysing post-market data and highlighting potential problems to ensure product safety and efficacy in market.
  • Supporting the complaint vigilance leads in the development of required regulatory outputs such as PMS reports and PSUR’s.
  • Supporting the consumer feedback processes and activities.
  • Exposure to project meetings and discussions with various other departments in the business.

Who we are looking for

  • Be an undergraduate/postgraduate in a Business, Scientific, Mathematical or Engineering discipline.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have an enquiring mind.
  • Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
