Here at CFC our Compliance Team continues to grow and so we are looking for a contentious graduate with an interest in regulatory affairs to join the team!  The role is focussed on operating CFC’s Compliance Framework, along with supporting the Compliance Team with licencing queries, financial crime, complaints and data protection matters.  CFC is a specialist insurance provider and a pioneer in emerging risk. About the role

Reporting to the UK Compliance Manager, the Compliance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the broader team in delivering the CFC Group Compliance Plan, along with delivering exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders (including underwriters, claims handlers and product developers). 
The Compliance Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the Group's financial crime and sanctions processes and procedures, including the investigation of sanctions matches and high risk/manual team sanctions process reviews.
  • Assist in managing the Group’s conduct risk and control framework, including operation of external complaints process in line with regulatory requirements and carriers’ expectations;
  • Maintain the Groups Compliance registers and maintain adequate records of regulatory information, including effective communication with compliance leadership team; 
  • Support preparation for and coordination of internal and external audits; 
  • Support in the delivery of Compliance Training Plan, providing regulatory and compliance subject knowledge to internal stakeholders; 

About you

  • The successful candidate will be a fast learner and able to grasp new and complex concepts as well as having strong written and oral communication skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law) would be highly regarded, but not essential.
  • A Certificate in Insurance (Chartered Insurance Institute) – Cert CII - would be highly regarded, but not essential. You will be supported in achieving this qualification upon joining CFC if not already completed.
