The role
Looking at the challenges the world is facing today Philips’ purpose has never been more relevant. That’s why we need you, to help us tackle increasingly complex challenges posed by ever evolving health and well-being needs.
The purpose of the Graduate Leadership Programme role is to work within commercial functions across our main business groups such as Personal (Consumer) Health, Health Systems, Hospital Patient Monitoring, Business Development and Service & Solution Delivery. The 2 year scheme will consist of 12 month rotations in two of the following areas:
Marketing
Drives superior customer value by facilitating annual planning processes and ensuring coordination and execution of health systems marketing plans for the UKI across our business areas. This could also be in our consumer health business where you will partially own and manage one of our key brands include analysing and making category decision to help serve consumer and customer needs, demands, and trends.
Sales
Learn how to excel in the highly competitive world of business through negotiations with retail partners and healthcare customers. You could be working in our health systems business (B2B) where you will be working with our cutting-edge medical devices, or within our consumer health business (B2C), managing and supporting key retail accounts and projects as well as supporting pricing strategy.
Service & Commercial Operations
Support and lead projects to improve our customer experience within our service offerings. This role involves working with internal stakeholders, including Sales Account Managers, Commercial Managers and Service Managers on transformational projects to deliver an improved customer experience. The customer’s lifecycle journey is critical in order for Philips to retain customer loyalty, and you will be key in driving improvements in processes and procedures using daily management reporting, problem solving and deploying new initiatives from the customer service value proposition.
Business Development
Contribute and be part of a team who focus on working in partnership, through the provision of innovative solutions with healthcare organizations to improve people’s lives. Every partnership is unique and tailored to meet customer needs. You may be working on customer facing projects or working on internal improvement projects to support commercial delivery.

The Philips UKI Graduate Development Programme which is designed to discover future business leaders and incorporate you into the Philips business where your new ideas and passion will shape the Philips business of tomorrow. You will have strong support networks with business managers, mentors and previous graduates. Your cohort will start in September 2025 and will be supported with a comprehensive personal development plan over the two-year scheme. As part of the programme you will be given a stretch project in another area of the UKI business.
Although you will be mobile, you will initially be based at our UK headquarters in Farnborough, Hampshire. You may occasionally be required to travel locally and sometimes abroad. Our office is a vibrant and exciting (professionally and socially) place to be based and you will have the opportunity to network with the wider organization.
About you
- A demonstrable interest in the health tech industry and an appetite to develop this further at Philips
- Recent (2023 or later) graduate in any degree (Bachelors or Masters)
- Evidence of high-performance background (for example through your academic and/or extra-curricular activities).
- Evidence of leadership potential and you will have leadership ambitions.
