The Role
We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to join our team based in Colindale, North London. Our business provides a full range of project management and consultancy services to Local Authorities, developers, institutions, landlords and occupiers.
We undertake project work in many different sectors ranging from commercial offices, leisure centres, University student accommodation, residential and education. We are in a growth phase and therefore need a new proactive and dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join our existing team to support the delivery of projects and programmes both pre-contract and after.

What you will be doing
- Use best practice project management methodologies to keep projects on track and proactively drive programmes of work forward
- Lead/support and assist on tasks required to support the Project Manager's delivery of the project and contract scope
- Liaise and interface with the other key teams on specific tasks which are required to support the principle task of delivery of the project and contract scope
- Develop, implement, and provide ongoing support towards the use of management systems which will support delivery and quality of the outputs
- Participate in developing the relationships with key stakeholders on projects
- Support the project management functions of the technical work streams to help ensure they are completed on time and on budget, supporting the management of commercial and technical Work through all phases of the project
- Updating and reporting on the schedule progress
- Updating and reporting on the budget and spending
- Identifying resource requirements and gaps
- Monitoring project performance and providing reports
- Managing a subset of the project, such as a particular phase or deliverable
What we’re looking for
- The successful individual must have a degree preferably in Project Management, Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture (and/or related disciplines)
- Previous experience working in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Proactive, adaptable, flexible and always demonstrates initiative. Focus on detail is imperative
- Someone who enjoys working with Office 365 packages and embraces new technology to improve ways of working
- Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- A responsive, constructive, and flexible attitude towards working arrangements within a team environment
- Good organisational skills
- Proficient in using IT (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Project)
- Excellent maths and English skills
