What awaits you
- You will be assigned specific tasks as well as defined projects, which will be based upon business needs and the strategic activity to support longer term goals. You will use your analytical skills to monitor performance and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
- Working towards your own objectives, you will solicit feedback, design and execute project plans, identify measures of success and generate ideas for improvement. Along with a commercial mind set, your innovative thinking will allow you to demonstrate your passion in developing robust marketing concepts.
- Occasionally, you will represent Canon at events and exhibitions where you need to have confidence in supporting the Canon brand. You will provide support to our account managers and retailers by meeting and handling queries over phone, by email and face to face. You will also have ownership of a set project, key product area or an important retail account within the team, and work with the Sales team and Product and Channel team to support this.
- You will also be part of a marketing project planning team and will have the opportunity to learn about best practice and to share your ideas in a compelling way. Working in collaboration with Product, Sales and PR & Communications teams, you will provide additional support to the wider team on marketing activities as required.
- Examples of areas/channels you will experience: account-based marketing activity, in-store and online campaigns, liaising with design and print agencies, product launches, events and exhibitions, incentive schemes, digital services, eCRM, and more…!
What we ask
- Studying towards a bachelor’s degree in business studies, Marketing, Economics, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:1.
- Ability to work on your own and within a team, whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people, and strong interpersonal skills, to influence and negotiate internally and externally to the organisation.
- Analytical skills with good attention to detail, and organisational and project planning skills with the ability to track projects and provide updates when asked.
- Ability to work under pressure with the energy to manage a busy workload. Confident by nature with the ability to use your own initiative to respond to a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbal
- Good level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Most importantly, you must have the desire to learn.
