The role
GTC, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for an Innovation & Transformation Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
As an Innovation & Transformation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting & managing the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions within the business. You will work closely with cross functional teams, gaining hands on experience in various projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work in a fast-paced environment, working on projects that have a tangible impact on our electricity networks and customer experience.
As the Innovation & Transformation Engineer your key responsibilities are
- Assist & manage the development and delivery of innovation and transformation projects, including digital platforms, network solutions and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with teams across the business, including IT, Operations, Customer Experience etc to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Support and lead the creation of new tools, processes, and solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in project planning, execution, reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision making for new projects and initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback on potential innovations and improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry and emerging technologies, contributing fresh ideas to ongoing projects.
About you
- A graduate (or equivalent) from any discipline, preferably with a degree in engineering, technology, innovation or a related field.
- Passion for innovation, transformation and solving complex problems.
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience or knowledge of the energy industry is a plus, but not essential.
