This role is to cover for maternity leave. This role is perfect for someone established in their HR career, who is keen to develop and grow in a fast-paced and busy production environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders of all management levels and departments across our brewery, from the Lab team to the Engineers, becoming a key contact and playing a vital role in supporting the site along with the wider People team when required. The role will be based at the Samlesbury site.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced People team based at the BBG head office in London, and our breweries in Magor, Enfield and Canary Islands.

Duties & responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for any People related queries on site
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting to onboarding
- Manage the probation process
- Carry out exit interviews
- Issue weekly site-wide communications, detailing any important updates. Freedom to develop this with your own sections and features by collaborating with stakeholders on site
- Support on ER cases. Experience of working with unions an advantage
- Processing monthly shift overtime by collecting shift data from the time & attendance system.
- Liaising with payroll to ensure accurate payment for colleagues
- Liaise with wider People & Communications team on ad-hoc projects and initiatives
- Develop relationships with local foundations, schools and recruiters to champion Diversity & Inclusion for Samlesbury, and source any new prospects
- Maintain staff data on the HR database systems
- Provide support for monthly site updates delivered by Leadership Team
- Work with Samlesbury People Business Partner to lead and support on aspects of our ‘People Pillar’ for the brewery auditing process
Who we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience working within a People Co-Ordinator/Administrator role
- A passion for working with people & providing excellent support to staff
- To love all things data! Reporting & ensuring all HR records are kept up to date
- Excellent proficiency in excel
- Experience of handling confidential information and data
